Olwatuuka is the most consistent comic book series in this community. Although the creators go on hiatus every now and again you can usually expect a new issue each month which is something I haven't seen any creator in Africa match. Apart from consistency Olwatuuka has a lot going for it. The art is actually pretty good. The story makes use of a few tropes I've seen before but overall, it's quite enjoyable. I especially enjoy how they infuse bits of various mythologies across Africa and the rest of the world.

I wouldn't call this story cliche but I wouldn't call it innovative either, it's somewhere in between. It reads very much like a shounen manga and uses many of the popular storytelling templates from that genre. This isn't a bad thing but as someone that reads a lot of manga, I feel like I've seen a lot of this before.
